How do I exclude a transaction?

Excluding Transactions in Hedgi

Here are the steps to exclude a transaction in Hedgi:

  1. Go to the “Reviewed” tab and locate the transaction you want to exclude.
  2. Click on the “Actions” drop-down menu next to the transaction.
  3. Select the “Exclude” option.
  4. A confirmation window will appear. Click “Exclude” again to confirm.
  5. The transaction will now be removed from your transactions list and account balances.
  6. It will appear under “Excluded” for reference.

Key points:

  • Excluding removes a transaction from your books.
  • Use this for transactions recorded in error.
  • The transaction details are retained under “Excluded.”
  • You can undo exclusion to add it back if needed.
  • Balances are adjusted after exclusion.

Excluding is useful for removing extraneous or erroneous transactions that shouldn’t impact your accounts. Hedgi makes it easy to exclude items and adjust your books accordingly.
